We are delighted that our project LUCY – Long-term Underwater ThermoeleCtric EnergY is featured by ACCIÓ and several Catalan media outlets. LUCY explores how thermoelectric energy from submarine hydrothermal sources could provide continuous power for underwater batteries, scientific instruments, sensors, robots, and long-term monitoring stations.
The technology is being developed by PLOATECH together with ViCOROB – Universitat de Girona, and supported by ACCIÓ through its R&D business support for Green projects. Thank you to ACCIÓ and the Departament d’Empresa i Treball for highlighting our work!
