PLOATECH has conducted high-resolution bathymetric and water column survey in the Gulf of Mexico to support the investigation of an oil & gas sheen source location. Using R2Sonic R2024 sonar system, QPS acquisition and processing software and PLOATECH’s custom algorithms, we delivered detailed seabed morphology and water column data to help identify potential seepage pathways and pinpoint the origin of the observed sheen.
Our work combined precision hydrographic surveying with environmental intelligence, providing critical data for informed decision-making in sensitive offshore environments.
